The Hickory Crawdads scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to the 11-7 victory against the Greenville Drive on Saturday evening at L.P. Frans Stadium. Every Crawdads starter collected at least one hit and they compiled 16 hits as a team, cruising to the win. Leading 5-4, the Crawdads blew the game open with a big sixth inning against

relief pitcher Justin Erasmus. With one out, Jordan Akins doubled and scored on an RBI double by Trevor Adams. A two-run homer by Chris Grayson made it 8-4, and a run-scoring single by Zach Cone made it 9-4. Drew Robinson drove in Cone with an RBI triple that was just fair inside the right field line; and Alejandro Selen drove in Robinson with an RBI single into center field that gave the Crawdads (33-28) a commanding 11-4 lead.
The Drive (31-30) responded with three unearned runs in the top of the eighth, but Andrew Faulkner survived the uprising and closed things out by retiring the side in order in the ninth. Cone had three hits, scored twice and drove in a run; Robinson was 3-5 with two runs scored and two RBI; Selen and Kellin Deglan had two hits and two RBI apiece. Adams had two hits and drove in a run. Jared Eickoff picked up his sixth win of the year, despite giving up four earned runs on six hits in five innings. He struck out eight.
