Drew Robinson belted a game-winning run-scoring double in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Hickory Crawdads to a 6-5 win against the West Virginia Power at L.P. Frans Stadium on Saturday night. With Robinson's second game-winning hit in the last eight days, the 'Dads have now won six in a row. The Crawdads (29-25) raced out to an early 4-0 lead against

the Power. A sacrifice fly by Jordan Aikns in the second inning; a pair of run-scoring singles by Zach Cone and Jeremy Willianms, and a throwing error by catcher Elias Diaz in the third inning gave Hickory it's four-run lead. The Power (18-38) started chipping away in the top of the fourth.  Greg Polanco led off with a single and scored on an RBI double by Jose Osuna to make it, 4-1; a two-run homer by Alen Hanson in the fifth inning made it 4-3. Hickory padded its lead with an RBI infield single by Jhonny Gomez in the bottom of the eighth, but the Power tied things up with two runs in the top of the ninth. With two outs, Junior Sosa singled to keep the inning alive. Diaz and Hanson then came through with consecutive RBI doubles tying the game at 5-5 and setting the stage for Robinson's game-winning heroics in the bottom of the ninth.
Hanser Alberto reached on a one-out single to left-center field, and Cone walked before Robinson smacked his game-winning RBI double to left-center field. Chris Grayson, Alberto, Robinson and Cone each had two hits apiece; the Crawdads had 11 hits in the game. Luke Jackson got the start and gave up three earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts in five innings; Gregory Williams, who blew a save opportunity in the top of ninth giving up a pair of runs, picked up his second win of the year.
