Indians Advance To Final Four PDF Print

The St. Stephens High women's soccer team marched its way to the Class 3A Western Regional Saturday night by knocking off Hickory 3-0 at home.  The Lady Indians (22-1-2) scored all of their goals in the second half; Macy Franklin, Lauren Brooks and Kalyn Meosky tallied for Saint. Franklin's goal in the 51st minute of the second half proved to be the game

winner. Brooks added an insurance goal nine minutes later and Meosky closed out the scoring with a goal in the 68th minute.
The Indians will play Charlotte Catholic on the road Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in the regional finals. Charlotte Catholic (24-1-1) advanced to the western finals with a 2-1 win against Marvin Ridge. Jacksonville-White Oak and Raleigh-Cardinal Gibbons will face each other in the eastern finals Tuesday night. The winners will meet next weekend in the Class 3A state title game at North Carolina State University.
