The Hickory Crawdads scored in every inning from the third through the eighth en route to the 12-3 blowout win against the Charleston RiverDogs, before 1,242 fans at L.P. Crawdads (15-8) snapped a 3-3 tie on Grayson's run-scoring single in the fourth inning. They broke the game open with Deglin's two-run shot in the fifth, and Grayson's solo shot in the sixth for a 7-3 lead. Hickory applied the finishing touch with a four-run explosion in the eighth.
Jerad Eickhoff went seven innings and picked up his third win of the year. He scattered five hits and struck out three. Nick Martinez logged two scoreless innings to close things out.
