Lenoir-Rhyne, ranked No. 21 in NCAA Division II, has advanced to the league tournament championship game for the third straight year.
Senior Dawon Millwood (Hixson, Tenn.) registered her 16th save of the season including second in the tournament to lead the Bears to the win. The Bears scored the game's lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning when sophomore shortstop Jody Mizelle (Colerain, N.C.) crossed home plate on an RBI triple by sophomore third baseman Haily Jarman (Wadesboro, N.C.).
Lenoir-Rhyne recorded the final out of the game with a pick-off at first base right after a strike out.
Anderson's Amber Duncan (Matthews, N.C.) (23-9) suffered the loss despite allowing just one run while striking out four batters in the contest.
