Walkley Earns All-Academic Honors PDF Print

Lees-McRae College senior Edmund Walkley has been named to the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Academic all-Conference team for the first time in his career, announced league officials Monday. Mount Olive

College paced the conference with five selections, as King College and Limestone College each placed four student-athletes on the team. Lees-Mcrae and Pfeiffer both had one representative.
Walkley has put together a strong three-year career with the Bobcats, totaling 205 kills, 98 digs, and 39 blocks in 52 matches to date. A native of Glenbrook, Australia, Edmund enjoyed perhaps his best season as a freshman, posting career-highs in kills (107), blocks (22), and points (123). Walkley is expected to graduate in May with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in English.
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Sunday when the fourth-seeded Bobcats travel to Misenheimer, N.C. to take on top-seeded Pfeiffer University in the semifinal round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament at 3 p.m.
