As allegations of sexual assaults being mishandled are being heard on the ASU campus, ASU Police report that they are investigating a new sexual assault from campus. The on campus incident was reported Monday March 26th, a female student reporting to a Campus Security Authority that she was sexually assaulted by a what was said in the release to be a “known male acquaintance” in an assault that occurred Thursday March 1, 2012, in a residence hall on the west side of campus.  The ASU Police site notes that notification to the community is required by federal law, but just where the investigation is at this point was not listed.
