Lees-McRae College sophomore Kortnie Curry (Lexington, N.C.) has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for the first time this season, announced league officials

Wednesday. Curry posted a strong performance this past weekend at the Wake Forest Open in Winston-Salem, N.C., finishing third overall in the high jump competition, nearly equaling her current program record with a mark of 1.61 meters. The Lexington, N.C. native has cleared 1.60 meters in each of the first two meets of the outdoor season this spring, setting the school record with a mark of 1.62 meters at the Lenoir-Rhyne PowerSox Invitational on March 3.
Lees-McRae returns to action on Saturday, March 24 when the Bobcats travel to High Point, N.C. to take part in High Point University’s Performance Track Meet.
