Lenoir-Rhyne's Dawon Millwood and Jessica Fellmeth have been named the South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher and Player Of The Week, respectively, league officials announced today.
Millwood, a senior from Hixson, Tenn., wins

the award for the third time this year after going 3-1 for the week with a 0.78 earned run average, 17 strikeouts and three shutouts.
In the league opener against Catawba last Thursday on the road, Millwood threw a six-hit shutout to win the first game of the doubleheader by a 6-0 score.
Millwood followed that performance up with back-to-back shutouts over league-foe Anderson (9-0) on the road Saturday and UNC Pembroke (7-0) Sunday at home at Bears Field.
Millwood, the 2011 SAC Pitcher Of The Year, is currently 12-4 on the season with a 1.54 earned run average and 106 strikeouts.
Fellmeth, a junior first baseman from Waxhaw, N.C., finished with the week with a .471 batting average to go along with six home runs and 15 runs batted in.
Fellmeth started the week with home runs in each game of a doubleheader split with Catawba last Thursday before tying the school single-game record with three round-trippers against Anderson Saturday in the second contest of a twin bill in Anderson, S.C.
Fellmeth, a 2011 All-SAC First-Team honoree, finished up the week with a three-run home run against UNC Pembroke in the first game of a doubleheader at home on Sunday.
Fellmeth currently leads the team in home runs (eight) and is second in runs batted in (28) this year for the 25th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne (22-9, 2-2).
Lenoir-Rhyne next travels to Aiken, S.C., to face USC Aiken on Wednesday in a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
