Lenoir-Rhyne's Kate Griewisch finished fourth out of 10 runners in the women's 5,000-meter run at the 2012 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships Saturday evening at the Myers Field House on the campus of Minnesota State University Mankato. Last season, Griewisch was one place off of earning All-American honors in the 5K after placing ninth overall in the indoor finals in Albuquerque, N.M.
Griewisch is a three-time NCAA Division II All-American in women's cross country (2009-11) and garnered All-American honors last year in NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field after finishing sixth in the women's 10,000-meter championship in Turlock, Calif.
Griewisch holds indoor school records in the one-mile run (5:03.20) and 3,000-meter run (10:11) as well.
