The Watauga High women's soccer team suffered its second-straight loss Wednesday night. The PIoneers (1-2) dropped a 4-0 decision to A.C. Reynolds. It was WHS's second

shutout loss in a row. The Rockets scored all of their goals in the first half.Shenny Lenhart, who is being strongly recruited by UNC-Asheville, scored three of those goals.
Lenhart has scored 17 goals in her first five games this season. And head coach Patrick Gladys of the Rockets (5-0) picked up his 200th career win along the way. The Rockets out shot the Pioneers, 25-7.
"Hopefully we will bounce back and play big Friday night against Avery," said WHS coach Brittany Bolick. "We had some great looks but just couldn't capatilize. I saw a lot of good things tonight, especially in the 2nd half, but we have to get a better mentality, be more hard nose and have a strong inner drive."
The Pioneers entertain Avery Friday night. The JV match begins at 5 p.m.; the varsity match begins at 6:30 p.m.
