In the fourth-inning, Dayton got on the board when Isaacson scored on a Brandy Brown ground out to Megan Rembielak. Lauren Nacke singled to short to score Kathleen Maloof and cut the Apps' lead to 4-2.
Apps' Caitlin Wainright scattered five hits and only gave up 2 unearned runs with five strikeouts for her third complete-game on the year.
The Flyers' Kayla English allowed five hits, four runs and a walk in her second loss of the season.
The Mountaineers play Dayton again on Saturday at 1 p.m. and will face N.C. Central for the third time this season at 7 p.m. on the second day of the Subway Spartan Classic at Cyrill Stadium.
