WHS-HICKORY MOVING TO LP FRAN STADIUM PDF Print

The watauga High baseball team is in for a treat. The Pioneers travel to Hickory for a baseball game next Friday, March 9. And according to Hickory head coach David Craft, that game will be played at

LP Fran Stadium , the home of the Hickory Crawdads. The reason for moving the game, according to Craft, the Red Tornadoes (2-0) are having issues with their home facility, Washam Field. And the Red Tornadoes aren't the only Northwestern 3A/4A Conference team having problems with their home field.
Hibriten High had a sink hole develop on its field down the right-field line. And until the sink hole is repaired, the Panthers, who can't even practice at their facility, will be playing the majority of their games on the road.
The Pioneers play Mount Tabor in Winston-Salem tonight, and our coverage begins at 6 p.m. on Oldies 100.7 FM. Women's soccer coach Brittany Bolick will be our guest on the Dug-Out Show.
