PIoneers-East Gaston Move Up Starting Time PDF Print

Watuaga High Athletics Director Tom Wright has announced that Monday night's state playoff opener between the Pioneers (10-14) and East Gaston (10-14) in Mount Holly, N.C., has been moved up an hour from its

original starting time of 7 p.m., and will now officially begin at 6 p.m. Our coverage of that game (weather permitting) will begin at 5:40 p.m. on Oldies 100.7 FM.
If Monday's game is postponed because of inclement weather, the contest, according to Wright, will be played Tuesday night. The winner of WHS-East Gaston will play the winner of South Caldwell (10-13) and Charlotte-Olympic (25-1) in a second-round game Wednesday night. If WHS wins and South Caldwell wins its game, the PIoneers would play at home on Wednesday; if Olympic wins, the Pioneers would travel to Charlotte.
