UPDATE: Surveillance Photos Released in Boone Business Break-In PDF Print

Boone investigators converged on the scene of the Gold & Closeout Connection on East King Street where a smash and grab type of break-in occurred this morning.  The alarm sounded there at 3:28 this morning with the front door forced, and police were on the scene within two minutes, but that was long enough for the suspects—three black males—to smash cases and grab goods, including several long rifles.  A BOLO was issued shortly after 5am for the trio, seen wearing what appeared to be matching rain gear, two in jeans, the third in camo pants. Video of their vehicle appears to be of a dark SUV or pickup, which pulled up in front of the business.  Detectives have released surveillance video from the scene while assessment of just what was taken is also underway—guns and jewelry said to be targeted.  The BOLO had the caution that, with the theft of the rifles, the suspects are certainly armed.  Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-268-6959.  All information will be kept confidential.
