Patterson, Bobcats Listed In NCAA Statistics PDF Print

Junior Icey Patterson (Seneca, S.C.) is ranked seventh in the nation in steals per game, and the Lees-McRae College women's basketball team is listed among the national leaders in six individual and team

categories in the latest edition of the NCAA Division II women's basketball statistics, announced NCAA officials Monday.
Lees-McRae (7-13, 3-11 Conference Carolinas) enters the week ranked 24th in the nation in steals per game (12.2) after posting 14 thefts against St. Andrews on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats are also ranked 46th in turnover margin (3.65) and 47th in assists per contest (14.8).
Patterson begins the week ranked seventh in the nation in steals per game (3.5) after recording a pair of thefts on Saturday to move into ninth in program history. Sophomore Paige Whitaker (Harrisburg, N.C.) is ranked 12th in the nation in three-point field goals per game after knocking down six treys on Saturday, while also being listed 43rd in three-point field goal percentage (38.2).
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Tuesday when the Bobcats host King College in conference play at 5:30 p.m. in Williams Gymnasium. The Bobcats will host "Play 4Kay night on Tuesday to raise funds and awareness for cancer research in honor of legendary coach Kay Yow.
