Snow Named Shrine Bowl Assistant PDF Print

Former Watauga High football coach Adrian Snow has been named an assistant coach for the 76th Annual North Carolina-South Carolina Shrine Bowl game that will be played in December. Snow, who will begin his fifth year as head coach at West Forsyth in Clemmons this coming fall, was selected

as an assistant coach by Nelson Smith of Garner High School in Garner, N.C., who will coach the North Carolina All-Stars. Smith led Garner to the Class 4AA state championship game last fall.
Snow led the Pioneers to a pair of Final Four appearances during his four-year stay in Boone. He was 29-23 at WHS, but an impressive 23-7 his last two years. Snow was an assistant coach in the East-West Senior All-Star Game last July in Greensboro.
North Carolina defeated South Carolina 26-19 in the Shrine Bowl last year, but South Carolina leads the all-time series, 41-30 with four ties. The 2012 game will be played on Saturday, December 15 at Gibbs Stadium, in Spartanburg, S.C., on the campus of Wofford College.
