Broaden Named Track Athlete Of Week PDF Print

Appalachian State University men’s track and field Stanley Broaden earned Southern Conference Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for

his performance last weekend.  The selections are made by the league’s track and field coaches.
Broaden, a freshman from Wilmington, N.C., made his collegiate debut at the Dick Taylor Invitational hosted by the University of North Carolina with a fourth-place finish (8.28) in the 60m hurdles.  His 8.28 mark ranks him first in the conference and eight all-time in ASU record book.
Broaden and the Mountaineers’ next meet takes place at the ETSU Invitational on January 27 at Johnson City, Tenn.
