Lenoir-Rhyne's Chandler Rearden has been named to the 2011 D2Football.com All-American Second Team. Rearden, a senior offensive lineman from Greenwood, S.C., garnered his fourth All-American accolade for the year.
Rearden has also been selected to the

Daktronics, Beyond Sports College Network and Associated Press Little All-American squads for the 2011 season.
Rearden, a two-time NCAA Division II All-American (2010-11), has won the past two Jacobs Blocking Trophies. The trophy is given annually to the top offensive lineman in the South Atlantic Conference.
Rearden helped the Bears finish third in the nation in rushing this season at 287.1 yards per game and guided Lenoir-Rhyne to its first league regular season championship in 17 years. The 2011 L-R squad finished 7-3 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
Rearden, a three-time All-South Atlantic Conference and all-region honoree (2008, 2010-11), was a key part in Lenoir-Rhyne finishing first in NCAA Division II in rushing (319.5 ypg) in 2010. The Bears' 7-4 mark two years ago was their first winning campaign since 1994.
Mars Hill's Jonas Randolph and Pittsburg State's Nate Dreiling were named the D2Football.com Offensive and Defensive Players Of The Year, respectively. Meanwhile, Pittsburg State's Tim Beck was named the coach of the year after leading his squad to the 2011 NCAA Division II National Championship.
The D2Football.com All-America Team was selected by our staff with input from coaches and sports information directors from around the country. D2Football.com has named an All-America Team since its inception in 2000.
