Appalachian State University field hockey head coach Brandi Alexander Kist has announced that defender, Laura Malinoski has enrolled to ASU as a transfer from Ball State.
By enrolling at ASU for the spring semester,

Malinoski can begin field hockey-related activities immediately and participate in upcoming spring practices.
Malinoski has three years of athletic eligibility remaining and started all 20 games for the Cardinals. The Eastampton, N.J. native ranked sixth in the nation with seven defensive saves and ranked second on the team with five goals and four assists.
“We are very excited to have Laura join our program. We are losing four of our starting defenders so we are looking forward to adding Laura, with her experience into our backfield. Not only is she hard worker on the field but she is also a standout student,” stated Alexander Kist.
Malinoski earned first-team all-South Jersey, all-Burlington County and all-Liberty Division honors as a senior and was named second team all-Burlington County and first-team all-Liberty Division accolades as a junior. She was named varsity captain during her final two seasons and stood as the most valuable player as a senior to round out her prep career.
