Mountaineers Ranked 12th In Final TSN Poll PDF Print

The Appalachian State University football team, which lost to Maine in the second round of the Football Championship Series playoffs (its earliest exit from post-season play since 2002), finished 12th in the final

North Dakota State, which defeated Sam Houston State for the national title in Frisco, TX., last Saturday, was No.1. Sam Houston State was second; Montana, which lost to Sam Houston State in the national semifinals, was third; Georgia Southern, which lost to North Dakota State in the national semis, was fourth; Lehigh was fifth.
Wofford was 13th in TSN Poll. The Mountaineers (8-4 this season) will kick-off the 2012 schedule at East Carolina on September 1; the Mountaineers play Montana in their home opener on September 8 at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
