Jets Sign Jackson PDF Print

The New York Jets have signed former Appalachian State University wide receiver/kick returner Dexter Jackson to a reserve/future contract on Monday, January 2.
He was one of

six players signed off the practice squad. Jackson has played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (who selected him in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2008), the Carolina Panthers and the Jets. Jackson spent the 2011 season playing for the Virginia Destroyers in the United Football League. That team was coached by former NFL coach Marty Schottenheimer.
Jackson was originally signed to the Jets pratice squad on November 9. He was released November 19, but was re-signed by the Jets on November 30.
