A crash this morning just before 11in front of Tweetsie injured a Wilkes County man and caused charges to be filed against an Ashe County man.  The 321 wreck occurred as David Cameron Baugess of Jefferson pulled from Tweetsie Lane behind a truck and pulled his small Chevy Veo into the path of a south-bound Cadillac, driven by Jorge Lewis Mont of Purlear. Mont suffered a foot injury in the crash, and was transported by Watauga Medics to Watauga Medical Center while the state patrol cited Baugess for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.  Damage was extensive in the collision.
There was another chin injury reported in a crash on Shull’s Mill Road in the early afternoon, but the patient refused treatment or transportation.
