Three members of the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team were named to the 2011 NCCSIA

College Division All-State Team. Senior defender Catherine Hauck (Lake Mary, Fla.), junior midfielder Carley Griffin (Fresno, Calif.) and senior forward Laura Linehan (San Diego, Calif.) all earned all-state honors for the Bears.
NCCSIA is the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association.
Hauck picked up all-state laurels for the second straight year after finishing second on the squad in goals (11) and points (26). Hauck is a two-time South Atlantic Conference Player Of The Year and NCAA Division II Daktronics and NSCAA All-American (2010-11).
Hauck, a four-time all-league and all-conference honoree (2008-11), finished her career ranked fourth on Lenoir-Rhyne's list for goals with 31 to go along with 70 total points.
Griffin also scored 11 goals on the year in addition to three assists and 25 points en route to All-South Atlantic Conference First-Team accolades in 2011.
Linehan, a three-time All-South Atlantic Conference and all-region selection (2008-09, 2011), led the Bears this season in goals (12) and points (30). Linehan ranks second all-time in Lenoir-Rhyne history in goals (47) and points scored (112).
All three players led Lenoir-Rhyne to a 17-3-1 record this year including a perfect 9-0 mark in the South Atlantic Conference. The Bears also won their second straight league regular season championship including first title outright and advanced to the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Finals for the second consecutive season.
Founded in 2002, NCCSIA is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The organization seeks to promote collegiate athletics and student-athletes at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.
NCCSIA selects All-State teams for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, softball and baseball on the College (Division II, III, NAIA) and University (Division I) levels. More than 650 student-athletes have been recognized on NCCSIA All-State teams since 2003.
In addition, the Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Soccer Team was a 2011 NSCAA College Team Academic Award winner for having a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Bears carried a 3.27 grade point average.
