Two members of Watauga Middle School football team were invited to attend an All-Star Combine at Avery High School in

November for the Football University 8th grade North Carolina team.
This is a team selected to play other 8th grade squads from around the country with the winner going to the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, TX. The Wolverines, who were 4-3 this season, had two players, wide receiver Michael Ebaugh (Parkway School)  and quarterback Aaron Dobbins (Hardin Park School), selected for the North Carolina team.
Unfortunately, Dobbins was unable to play because of previous commitments, but Ebaugh has been practicing with the North Carolina team in Charlotte. The NC All-Stars will play their first game against South Carolina tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. at Hough High School in Charlotte.
If they win, they would play another team from North Carolina or a team from Florida in a semifinal game on Sunday at Hough High School. The winners will then face each other next Saturday, December 17 in a regional championship game at a site to be determined. The winner will advance to the Alamo Dome at a time and date to be announced later.

North Carolina defeated South Carolina 21-0 Saturday afternoon. Ebaugh played tight end and was also a long snapper for the North Carolina All-Stars.
