A Boone Police officer was attacked and assaulted Saturday night trying to make an arrest at a Woods Circle address.  Police said officer Jason Lolies suffered cuts and scrapes—clawed by the suspect, but that his injuries were minor.  The incident occurred just before 9:30 Saturday night at 249 Woods Circle as the officer was following up on noise and damage to property complaints.  Confronting the suspect in the case, police say that the man attacked the officer as he tried to cuff him and a struggle ensued.  Dispatchers checking in on the officer did not get a response, and several other units responded emergency traffic to the scene and helped secure the suspect.  The officer at first did not claim any injury, but shortly thereafter Watauga Medics were called in and treated officer Lolies at the scene.  He then transported 22-year old Hayden Johnson of that 249 Woods Circle address to the hospital for blood tests, and he was subsequently was charged with Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Damage to property and was jailed under $4000 bond.
