Seeds Named All-SoCon Tournament Selection PDF Print

Appalachian State volleyball senior Maggie Seeds was named as an all-Southern Conference Tournament selection for her performance in leading the Mountaineers to the SoCon semifinals, the conference office announced Monday.
Seeds, who set a career-high with 20 kills in ASU's

semifinal loss to College of Charleston, hit .215 with 33 kills in two matches at the 2011 SoCon Volleyball Championship.
She had 13 kills in ASU's quarterfinal win against Georgia Southern and tallied 14 digs, seven block assists and one solo block in the two matches.
Seeds, who was earned both SoCon Offensive Player of the Week and Student-Athlete of the Week honors earlier this season, ended her career at Appalachian with 264 block assists, the seventh-best total in school history.
On the season, Seeds finished with 276 kills, 111 digs, 69 block assists, seven solo blocks and 76 total blocks while hitting .259.
