Appalachian State University’s second-round NCAA Division I Football Championship matchup versus Maine on Saturday, Dec. 3 will kick off at 2 p.m., the NCAA announced on Tuesday. The game will be televised live on ESPN3, the network’s online platform. ESPN has acquired exclusive broadcast rights to this year’s Division I Football Championship and will air all 19 games of the tournament on its platform of networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3. However, no broadcasts will be syndicated to other stations or cable networks.
Should the ninth-ranked Mountaineers (8-3) get by No. 13 Maine (8-3) in the second round, they would face No. 3 Georgia Southern (9-2), No. 10 Old Dominion (9-2) or No. 19 Norfolk State (9-2) in the national quarterfinals on Friday, Dec. 9 or Saturday, Dec. 10. The dates, times and venues of the quarterfinal matchups will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 4.
