The San Francisco 49ers have signed former Appalachian State University football player Mark LeGree, and they've added him to their practice squad. LeGree, a three-time All-American, is reunited with former ASU teammate Daniel Kilgore, who was selected by the 49ers in the fifth round of the National Football League
Draft last April. Kilgore, an offensive lineman, has not been activated by the 49ers (8-1 and in first place in the NFC West) this season.
The 49ers are LeGree's third team this season. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, but he was released at the end of training camp. He was the only draft pick of the nine chosen by the Seahawks to be released.
He was then signed by the Arizona Cardinals on September 21 and added to their practice squad. But the Cardinals cut him loose on October 5. LeGree had a stellar collegiate career with the Mountaineers, notching 198 tackles and 22 interceptions.
