Edwards Makes Collegiate Debut PDF Print

Damian Edwards, a three-year varsity starter at Watauga High, made his collegiate debut Sunday. Edwards, who was primarily a shooting guard for the Pioneers, is currently playing point guard for his new

school, Emory & Henry College, a Division III school in Emory, Va., and a member of the Old Dominian Athletic Conference. Edwards made his debut Sunday in Spartanburg, S.C. as the Wasps (0-1) tipped-off the season against Wofford  College, a D-I opponent from the Southern Conference.
Edwards played 28 minutes, scored three points, had five assists and pulled down three rebounds as Wofford (1-1) defeated Emory & Henry, 70-55.
Edwards was the Northwestern 3A/4A Conference Player of the Year last season. The Wasps entertain Hiwausee College Wednesday night.
