Dennis Wagner has seen enough and he's made up his mind. Wagner has called it quits. He has stepped down as head football coach at Western Carolina University. Wagner met with interim Athletics Director Fred Cantler

on Sunday morning, a day after the Catamounts suffered a 46-14 loss at Appalachian State, to announce his resignation.
Wagner was 8-43 during his four-year stay with the Catamounts. He was 3-27 in the Southern Conference. The Catamounts have also lost 14 consecutive SoCon games. Assistant head coach Mark Rhea will finish out the season on an interim basis. The Catamounts (1-9; 0-8 SoCon), mired in an eight-game losing streak, close out the season at home Saturday against Coastal Carolina.
