Appalachian State University women’s cross country wrapped up its season with a 20th-place finish at the 2011 NCAA Southeast Region Championship Saturday morning at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park.
Senior Hannah Orders finished her well-accomplished cross country career with an 81st-place finish at the 22:06.9 mark, while junior Sarah Williamson crossed the finish line with a time of 22:40.7.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Cagle crossed the finish line at the 22:42.5 mark and fellow sophomore Allison Cook rounded out the Apps top-five with a time of 23:02.4.
Virginia won the meet with three runners in the top-20 and were followed by fellow ACC foe North Carolina State to earn the meet’s two team automatic bids for the NCAA Championsip. UNC Greensboro led the Southern Conference with a seventh-place finish. North Carolina’s Kendra Schaaf won the individual title by completing the 6k-course with a time of 19:52.9.
