Lenoir-Rhyne University's Colin Corpe (Ocala, Fla.) has been named to the 2011 NCAA Division II Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District II Football Team.
Corpe, a senior placekicker, earns academic all-district accolades for the third straight season and now advances to the

NCAA Division II Academic All-American ballot.
Corpe became Lenoir-Rhyne's all-time scoring leader for kickers last week and now has 256 points in his career.  Corpe is now fourth on L-R's career scoring list for all players as well.
In addition, Corpe is tied with former Bear Jason Monday (1989-92) for career field goals with 44 and needs one more field goal to establish a new single-season Lenoir-Rhyne record.  Corpe has 13 field goals entering this Saturday's regular season finale.
Corpe also holds the school record for field goals in a game (four) which he did twice:  September 27, 2008, at Brevard, and October 23, 2010, vs. Tusculum, both wins.
Corpe, an English major who sports a 3.53 grade point average and earned First-Team All-SAC honors in 2008, is also a member of the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Lenoir-Rhyne (6-3, 5-1) looks to clinch at least a share of its first South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship since 1994 when it travels to Salisbury, N.C., to take on Catawba (3-7, 2-4), its long-time rival, on Saturday beginning at 1:30 p.m.
