|LRU Men's, Women's Swimming Teams Defeat Mars Hill|

The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's and Women's Swimming Teams both prevailed in a dual meet over Mars Hill College Saturday afternoon at the Harrell Pool. Both Bear squads defeated the Lions for the first time ever.
Several records fell for the Bears on the night including the first-place finishes of the women's 200-yard medley relay (1:55.88), junior Teddy Esch (Lenoir, N.C.) in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:18.94) and freshman Chelsea Kyle (Knoxville, Tenn.) in the 200-yard butterfly (2:16.73).
Esch also finished first in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.14) and Kyle won the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.38).
Senior Megan Neubauer (Taylors, S.C.) and freshman Lakeem Reynolds (Elkin, N.C.) were also mutiple winners on the day for Lenoir-Rhyne.
Neubauer claimed the top spot in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:34.76) and 500-yard freestyle (5:34.78) events while Reynolds was first in the 100-yard freestyle break (55.98 seconds) and 200-yard freestyle (2:03.79) races.
Lenoir-Rhyne next competes in a tri-meet on Saturday, November 12, against Converse & Pfeiffer in Misenheimer, N.C. Mars Hill next competes in the Wingate Fall Frenzy on November 19 and 20 in Charlotte, N.C.
