The Watauga Middle School football team held its annual banquet Thursday nigth at Hardin Park School.
Roman Gabriel III was the guest speaker, and the Wolverines also donated $650 they earned during their "Wolverine Run" find raiser back on September 28 against Hudson at Jack Groce Stadium to a needy family in the area. The Wolverines
donated a dollar for every offensive yard they gained that night, which also included other donations that were made towards the worthy cause.
"It was a good project for our kids to be involved in," said Wolverines coach Dale Allred. "It really got us involved in helping the community. I am very proud of our players and thankful for all the help we received from the people involved in the fund raiser. It's was a worthy cause, and I'm glad our program could serve the community in some way."
And the Wolverines, who were 4-3 this season, also handed out their yearly awards:
