Five Charged in Two Avery Meth Arrests PDF Print

On October 27th the Avery County Sheriff’s Office arrested thirty five year old Joseph Greenwell of Elk Park, twenty year old Matthew Oliver of Elk Park and forty two year old Sherry Holtsclaw of Elk Park.  The three were arrested after Deputies located items know to be precursor chemicals used in methamphetamine labs at their residence. On the evening of October 28th Deputies with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on Hwy 19E in Elk Park.  Deputies located items used in methamphetamine labs inside the vehicle.  Forty two year old Tabitha Hampton of Roan Mountain and 31 year old April Campbell of Butler Tennessee were arrested from the traffic stop.  Both were charged with several drug charges including Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine.
