Mocs Favored To Win SoCon Title PDF Print

The Southern Conference coaches have voted Chattanooga as the pre-season favorite to win the league wrestling title this season.
The Mocs have won seven consecutive

league championships. UTC received four-first place votes. Appalachian State was picked to finish second, but the Mountaineers received three-first place votes.
Mike Kesslers at 141 pounds, Kyle Blevins at 165 and Austin Trotman at 184 of the Mountaineers were named to the All-SoCon Preseason Team. Blevins won the SoCon title at 165 pounds last season; Trotman is a two-time SoCon champion at 184. The Mountaineers open their season at the Hokie Open, hosted by Virginia Tech, in Salem, Va., on Sunday, November 6
