WATAUGA BLACK GOES UNDEFEATED PDF Print

The Watauga Black 3rd & 4th grade football team (The Mighty Mountaineers) defeated East Yancey 27-7 on Saturday, October 22.

 

It was the first time in four years that East Yancey has lost a game at the 3rd & 4th grade level. Watauga Black finishes the year with a perfect 8-0 record, and as the only undefeated team in the 3rd & 4th grade league. Watauga Black competed against teams from Wilkes County, Avery County, Ashe County, Mitchell and Yancey Counties.
The Watauga Black team roster consisted of players from  Parkway and Vallie Crucis Schools, and the team was coached by Todd Castle and Jamie Watson. All the parents and family members send out a special congratulations to all the players and coaches for their outstanding season.
