Obama Strolls Downtown Boone PDF Print

There weren’t any doubters inside the downtown Mast General Store—that Barack Obama was coming to Boone. The president detoured his motorcade into downtown Boone and took to the street, greeting folks on King Street before entering Mast.  (photos courtesy Mast Store) Shocked shoppers and staff took pictures and greeted the president in about a 10 to 15-minute stop before heading out, waiving from the front of one of two large motor homes in his entourage.  He then made his way to Millers Creek, promoting the American Jobs Act bill at West Wilkes High School. Over 1000 lined up yesterday for tickets, winding through the campus. The American Jobs Act bus goes to Greensboro for the night where the President will overnight, then head east toward Emporia, Virginia, just north of the state like off I-95.
