Wolverines Win Season Finale PDF Print

The Watuaga Middle School football team finished the season on a winning note Wednesday night.

The Wolverines (4-3) jumped out to an early lead and defeated Gamewell 32-22 at West Caldwell High School. The Wolverines led 16-6 at halftime and coasted home. Quarterback Aaron Dobbins had another monster effort in the win. He scored three touchdowns, scored a two-point conversion and he threw a pair of two-point conversion passes.
Hamilton Castle scored a touchdown and caught a two-point conversion pass; and Michael Ebaugh caught a two-point conversion pass. Caleb Bryson had a 20-yard reception that set up a one-yard TD run by Dobbins.
Defensively, Paul Zaumudio and Cory West both recovered a fumble; nose guard Josh Phillips and linebacker Jacob Campbell were stand outs on defense.
