The Bears were in control from the outset as junior midfielder Carley Griffin (Fresno, Calif.) opened the scoring just 51 seconds into the match after finishing off a quick pass from Linehan.
Linehan gave L-R a 2-0 advantage in the 11th minute when she connected on a shot from about 25 yards out.

Lenoir-Rhyne kept the pressure on as junior All-American midfielder Elizabeth Hawes (Valdese, N.C.), Hauck and senior midfielder Mariel Mena (Gainesville, Fla.) all scored in the second half.
Junior goalkeeper Caitlin Scruggs (Torrance, Calif.) picked up the win in goal for the Bears after stopping five shots to register her fourth shutout of the season. Mars Hill goalkeeper Chelsea Parker (Richmond, Va.) suffered the setback.
