So where are all the worms—the wooly worms?  Fall has been a strange season this year, with snow October 1st, leaves turning beautifully—but early—but where are the worms?  Those of us from the High Country can usually see a virtual parade of wooly worms crossing the roads by this time of year, but not this year.  So what’s the crisis?  The wooly worm festival only has about 500 worms so far—and they need 1200.  So, it’s time for a wooly worm hunt, for each of us to pitch in and find the worms, then take them to the Avery Chamber in Tynecastle.  There’s a $1 per worm bounty—up to 50 worms per worm hunter, and they’re taking in the worms ‘till 3 this afternoon.  So set out and save the wooly worm races by finding worms—today.
