A look at former Appalachian State University football players’ performances in Week 5 of the National Football League season:

Safety Corey Lynch made six solo tackles as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting free safety in their 48-3 setback to the San Francisco 49ers.
Defensive end Jason Hunter recorded two solo tackles in the Denver Broncos’ 29-24 loss to the San Diego Chargers.
Wide receiver Armanti Edwards returned one punt for nine yards in the Carolina Panthers' 30-27 setback to the New Orlean Saints.
Linebacker D.J. Smith participated on special teams but did not cumilate any statistics in the Green Bay Packers' 25-14 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
Finally, Offensive lineman Daniel Kilgore was not active in the San Francisco 49ers' 48-3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
