Kolowsky Named SoCon Player of Week PDF Print

Appalachian State sophomore goalkeeper Amy Kolowsky has been selected as the Southern Conference women's soccer player of the week for all matches from September 27 - October 2.

Kolowsky led the Mountaineers to a scoreless draw with Furman and a 1-0 win over Wofford last week, both of which were double-overtime affairs. The sophomore stopped a career-high 10 shots against the Paladins on Friday before collected five more saves on Sunday.
The Columbia, S.C., native earned shutouts in both matches, the second and third of her career, as the Mountaineers were the only SoCon team to keep their opponents out of the net for the entire weekend.
Other Nominees: Sarah Schaidle (College of Charleston), Mariana Garcia (The Citadel), Kristin Player (UNCG), Alyssa Whitehead (Samford) and Samantha Hodge (Western Carolina).
