Bobcats listed in NCAA statistics PDF Print

The Lees-McRae College women's soccer team is ranked ninth in the nation in scoring offense and shutout percentage, and is listed in eight additional statistical categories in this week's edition of the NCAA Division II women's soccer statistics, announced NCAA officials Tuesday.

Lees-McRae (5-2-1, 4-0 Conference Carolinas) has enjoyed a tremendous run of form over the last several weeks, holding its opponents off the scoreboard in each of its last six matches while tallying 23 goals in that span. The Bobcats enter the week ranked ninth in scoring offense (3.29) and shutout percentage (0.714), while being listed 42nd in goals against average (0.714), and 45th in winning percentage (0.714).
Sophomore MaryBeth Sullivan (Greensboro, N.C.) is ranked 28th in total goals (6.0), 29th in goals per match (0.857), and 46th in points per contest (1.86), while senior forward Vickie Rich (Arlington Heights, Ill.) is listed 29th in total assists (4.0) and 33rd in assists per match (0.57).
Freshman goalkeeper Kaitlyn Briggs (Oviedo, Fla.) is ranked 35th in goals against average (0.667), while rookie forward Meagan Thornton (Millville, N.J.) is listed 61st in goals per match (0.714) and 82nd in points per contest (1.57). Fellow rookie Allyson Titsworth (Holmes Beach, Fla.) is also ranked 86th in assists per match (0.43).
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Saturday when the Bobcats host Barton College in a conference matchup on Homecoming Weekend. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. on Tate Field.

 

Bobcats ranked eighth in the nation in service aces

 

The Lees-McRae College women's volleyball team is ranked eighth in the nation in service aces per set, and is listed in nine other individual and team categories in this week's edition of the NCAA Division II women's volleyball statistics, announced NCAA officials Tuesday.
Lees-McRae (10-6, 6-0 Conference Carolinas) has been on a tear of late, winning eight straight matches while extending its winning streak in league play to 37 consecutive contests. The Bobcats enter the week ranked eighth in the nation in aces, averaging 2.7 per set, while also ranking 63rd in assists per frame (11.72), 73rd in kills per set (12.46), and 82nd in winning percentage (0.625).
Freshman Taylor Pritchett (Apex, N.C.) enters the week ranked 21st in service aces, averaging 0.65 per set, while junior Megan Mitchell (Minden, Nev.) and fellow rookie Sariah Suryadevara (Cincinnati, Ohio) are listed 26th and 27th, respectively, with identical averages of 0.60 aces per frame. Mitchell is also ranked 58th in assists per set (9.8), while Suryadevara is listed 22nd in digs per frame (5.35).
Senior Megan Epperson (St. John, Ind.) surged 37 spots in kills per set after averaging 4.6 smashes per frame last week en route to her first career Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors. The 5-11 outside hitter enters the week ranked 62nd in kills per set (3.58) and 65th in points per frame (4.11).
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Friday when the Bobcats travel to Raleigh, N.C. to take on St. Augustine's College in a 6 p.m. matchup.
