Angellella Named NorPac East Rookie of the Week PDF Print

Appalachian State field hockey freshman Brooke Angellella was named NorPac East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday by the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference. Angellella, a Manahawkin, N.J. native, scored her first collegiate goal last weekend.  Angellella’s first career tally gave the Mountaineers an early lead against James Madsion, before a second-half surge by the Dukes for a 4-1 setback for the Apps.  Angellella is the second-straight ASU freshmen to earn NorPac East Rookie of the Week honors.  Jessi Stuart recieved the honor last week for her goal against VCU.
Appalachian field hockey travels to Louisville Ky. next weekend to face-off with Missouri State on September 10 and Louisville on Sept. 11.


Lenoir-Rhyne And Pfeiffer Women's Soccer Match Postponed


 Lenoir-Rhyne's Women's Soccer road match with Pfeiffer University, scheduled for today, has been postponed due to rain.  No make-up date has been announced yet.


Wednesday's Tusculum/Lees-McRae match moved to Avery HS


Wednesday's scheduled NCAA Division II women's soccer match between Tusculum College and Lees-McRae College has been moved to Avery High School in Newland, N.C. due to poor field conditions at Tate Field, announced Bobcat head coach Cally Morrill. The match is still scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m.
