The Wofford College Terriers, ranked eighth nationally in The Sports Network Football Championship Subdivision Top 25 Poll, survived a scare on Saturday.

Wofford, which trailed early, rallied to beat Presbyterian 35-28 Saturday afternoon in Clinton, SC. The Terriers (1-0), who trailed early 7-0, rallied to take a 28-7 lead. But the Blue Hose (0-1) came charging back to tie the game at 28-28 in the fourth quarter.
Mitch Allen's 26-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Ashley with 51 seconds left allowed Wofford to win the game. The Terriers, who were flagged for 127 yards in penalities, racked up 352 yards on the ground. Eric Breitenstein ran for 107 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown. His ten-yard scamper with 12:56 to play in the first half tied the game at 7-7.
The Terriers travel to Clemson next Saturday, September 10.
