|'Dads to hold Emergency Service Personnel Night on Sept. 9|

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Sept, 11, 2001, the Hickory Crawdads, South Atlantic League affiliate of the Texas Rangers, announced the details for Emergency Service Personnel Night, which will be held during the Crawdads first home playoff game on Fri., Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.All emergency service personnel, including members of the fire department, police department, rescue squad, and emergency medical services, along with their immediate families, can receive a FREE Grandstand Ticket to that playoff game.
"Having a home playoff game on Sept. 9, just two days prior to the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, gives us an opportunity to say 'thank you' to all the emergency responders, not only for what they did that day, but what they do on a daily basis all over the country," said General Manager Mark Seaman. "We hope a number of them and their families in our area will be able to come out and enjoy an evening watching America's pastime."
Emergency service personnel can secure their free Grandstand Ticket by presenting their emergency service ID at the Crawdads Ticket Office.
The Crawdads post-season opponent has yet to be determined, but gates will open at 6 p.m with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. There will be a spectacular post-game fireworks show presented by Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet, Galaxy, Hickory Orthopaedic Center, J.P. Computer Consulting, Pepsi, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and Vesco.
