A full house of ASU faculty, staff, students, and administrators joined a host of other dignitaries yesterday for the dedication and ribbon cutting to open the new Reich College of Education building. The overflow crowd saw the transition from Edwin Duncan Hall to the new facility,

with Chancellor Ken Peacock, playing his role as the cheerleader, giving the education department message to the entire university system, "Appalachian prepares the largest percentage of teachers from the UNC system—I want to make sure the Board of Governors heard that--from the UNC system, we are number one—not number two, three—we are number one." Students begin to occupy desks in the new facility next week.
