Phil Ford, a three-time All-America at the University of North Carolina, will conduct a three-day clinic at North Wilkes High School on Labor Day Weekend. Ford will hold the clinic from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. Sept. 3, from 2-5 p.m. Sept. 4 and from 8 to noon Sept. 5. The clinic is open to rising third through eighth graders. There is a capacity of 200 participants. The cost is $100 per participant. Checks should be made to the North Wilkes High School Athletic Boosters.
Each participant gets a T-shirt and a Carolina hat signed by Phil Ford. There will be other prizes and opportunities to have photos made with Ford.
Other clinic instructors will include Appalachian State University men's basketball coach Jason Capel and Wilkes County native Kenneth Davis, who was an assistant coach under Bobby Cremins at Georgia Tech University. For more information is available by calling Behrens at 957-8601.
